BEFORE YOU BOOK:

Please note: Oakhurst is a working dairy farm, there are 5 delightful farm dogs who roam freely around the farm and often visit guests at the cottages. Baboons, monkeys, spiders and other wildlife associated with farm life may also appear from time to time.  While none of these are a threat to you as a guest, if this is likely to bother you, then we recommend a more urban accommodation experience for you.  There is limited cell phone signal at the main farm house and The Forge. Our manager can be reached via What’s App or via SMS 064 384 1266.

PETS AT OAKHURST

Due to our dairy herd, horses and farm dogs, Oakhurst is not a pet-friendly establishment.

BOOKINGS AND CANCELLATIONS

In the event of a cancellation more than a month before arrival, your deposit of 50% will be non-refundable.
In the event of cancellation within a month before arrival the entire booking amount is payable to Oakhurst. In the case of premature termination of the stay, the entire booking amount is payable to Oakhurst.

· More than 1 month before arrival: 50% Cancellation fee. (50% deposit is non-refundable)
· Less than 1 month before arrival: 100% Cancellation fee. (Full amount is due and non-refundable)
· No refunds will be made for bookings made over peak periods i.e long weekends and holidays.

PAYMENT POLICY

To secure your stay a 50% deposit is required. The balance of the booking amount must paid in full to Oakhurst, at the latest, one month before arrival. In the event of a booking made within one month before arrival the entire booking amount must be paid immediately. In the case of a late or incomplete payment you are in default. Oakhurst will reserve to the right to cancel the booking within immediate effect. You are responsible for all damages which suffers or will suffer as a consequence of this, as well as all costs which Oakhurst has made with regard to your booking and the cancellation.

GENERAL RULES OF BEHAVIOUR

In order to make the stay on the farm as pleasant as possible for all guests, we expect all the guests to stick to the general rules of behaviour and appearance based on common sense and basic etiquette. Breaching these regulations can lead to removal from the farm without a refund of the rental sum or a part of it. It is possible that maintenance activities may take place during your stay on the grounds or at the accommodation(s) such activities will not entitle the customer to a refund. No day visitors are permitted on the property unless prior arrangements have been made and approved by Oakhurst Farm Cottages.

NOISE AND MUSIC POLICY

No music or excessive noise is allowed at any of our accommodation unless you have booked the entire property to host a function. Please consider your fellow guests and quiet down completely at 22h00. The enjoyment of nature and tranquility is our first priority. Please notify us if fellow guests are not adhering to our no-noise policy.
