Our Farm Cottages have been a part of Oakhurst for the past 40 years.

Kween’s Kaya, Awie’s Attic, Leenie’s Lair, Hans’s Hollow and Nick’s Nook are set along the edge of a section of forest, intersected with a gurgling stream that flows during the rainy periods. The cottages are about 15m apart, separated by hedges and have a large lawned area in front of them. They’re all a stone’s throw from the action, with the forest walking trail, large swing, kids playground and communal braai area being right there.

Each cottage is fully set up for self-catering, with a well equipped kitchen and cozy living area with wooden floors. The living area in turn opens out onto a large wooden deck and braai area. This is the spot where you can either enjoy a good meal around the large wooden table or simply enjoy some of Oakhurst’s fine mountain air while getting stuck into a good book. For those who’re after a wood-fired hot tub, each unit has its own hot tub installed on the patio.

Three of these cottages, (Kweens’s Kaya, Awie’s Attic & Lenie’s Lair) have two bedrooms, each with private bathrooms. The main bedroom has a queen bed, while the second bedrooms has two single beds and a double bunk bed, sleeping a total of 6 people. The two remaining cottages (Hans’s Hollow and Nick’s Nook) have three bedrooms (One double and two twins) and also sleep up to 6 people. The double bedrooms are self contained, while the two twin bedrooms are inter-leading, the second twin can only be accessed via the first twin bedroom. Each has one central bathroom with shower.

Garden Route winters can be cold, and a fire roaring in the kitchen’s wood-burning stove sets the perfect atmosphere for farm winters.
